Author Biography
Art Blum never intended to become a writer. But in 2008 Art published his first book One More Hug which was a memoir that he wrote for his grown children. He followed that in 2013 with a sequel that he called And ANOTHER Thing, an eclectic collection of musings, afterthoughts and paternal rantings. And now, his latest book 16 More Mondays completes the trilogy.
Art is able to take his readers along on a personal journey filled with life lessons, excitement, humility, success and failure. Just like talking to a friend, you may find yourself becoming part of his story each time you turn the page.
Art is the perfect example of an ordinary guy. He is not rich. He is not famous, and he is not special. He is someone who got up every morning, went to work, came home, paid his bills, drank coffee, celebrated birthdays, and relaxed on the weekend. In other words, he did all of the things that “normal” people do. He is a husband, a Father, and a grandfather. He has been married to the love of his life for more than thirty years; a strong woman who finally convinced him to retire, stay at home with her, and enjoy their life together.
Art spent most of his adult career in direct sales of one kind or another. This is where he learned how to write sales presentations and business letters by simply “talking on paper”. He never intended to become an author, but sometimes life just happens and here we are.
Art says, “We often think of things that happened in our lives that seem so insignificant at the time, but we remember them for years.” Art considers himself to be an extraordinarily ordinary guy. But maybe he’s not. Or maybe he’s someone just like you.
